MoveOn Moves to the Comics

Who says the New York Times doesn’t have a comic section?
NY Times readers were this morning greeted to a full page cartoon masquerading as a serious issue advertisement courtesy of MoveOn.org. After previously playing schoolyard name games with General Patraeus, MoveOn spent tens of thousands of dollars (assuming the Times didn’t give it another friendly “discount”) to make a mockery of the situation in Iran. Titled “The Washington Follies,” MoveOn’s latest embarrassment features President Bush and Karl Rove as cartoon characters plotting to start a war with Iran.
What’s next, MoveOn whoopee cushions to raise awareness of global warming?
More to the point, the issue of Iran’s nuclear weapons program is far from settled. The NIE itself makes clear that Iran could quickly restart its weapons program (provided, of course, that it really has stopped it). Additionally, both Israel and the British strongly disagree with the NIE’s assessment that Iran has ceased its pursuit of nuclear weapons. In short, it would be foolish to risk American security by taking the pressure off Iran based on this one report.
Maybe MoveOn could do another cartoon depicting Iranian strongman Mahmoud Ahmadinejad going on about a world without America, denying the Holocaust, or threatening to wipe Israel off the map. Oh wait, that wouldn’t be a cartoon – that would be real life.
This sophomoric rant from MoveOn is another example why reasonable Americans reject its far-left message – and why both the U.S. House and Senate voted to condemn it!
Hey, MoveOn: See you in the funny papers! |

Moveon.org is what it is, an icon for the dailycos crowd. I do have a question for kimosabee and I woulld appreciate a striaght answer. Having watched ALL the debates, Rep and Dem, the Dems have a candidate who, as a conservative, I would not like to see nominated. HE is articulate, knowlageable, experienced and charismatic, a perfect candidate. Currently (thank God) running a distant 5th or 6th behind your dynamic trio. Foriegn policy expert, domestic agenda, though left of center, is slightly mainstream but harmful in my opinion. Thankfully this man is not liberal enough to win your nomination. Gonna enjoy watching your party fall on your sword yet again

Wanted to make the point that Moveon, along with the cos crowd are really totally irrelevant to the political process. I think that has been shown, no matter how much money they waste, their followers are pretty much the San Fran, Hollywood, and Eastern Ultra liberals who would be ultra liberals with or without Moveon. The millions that George Soros spends on this is just preaching to the choir. Mainstream America, the heartland, sees this drivel for what it is, which is why his efforts are just a waste of his considerable wealth. Go George Go!!!!

No offense ace, but you're a fraud. You come here running your mouth, totally clueless, and when challenged, you fold like the candidates on your slate. NO ONE LIKES WAR, which is your only agenda, but there are times when it is unavoidable. You and those like you WILL NEVER stand up for our country. Thats your choice, hopefully you will never have to live with the consequesences

Even I, who is often seen as a liberal by those who love their Extra Bonus Iraq War, wish that moveon.org would just shut up as they a just a sideshow mindset that righties like to extend to Dems by often using the propaganda technique of gross generalization.
