Your Action Made the Difference
By Bradley A Blakeman :: 3 Comments :: Email to a friend

As many of you have heard, over the weekend NBC relented and decided to air the Freedom’s Watch ads wishing our troops a happy holidays.  We are glad that NBC ultimately decided to do the right thing and air the Freedom's Watch television ads supporting our troops.  Thanking our troops is not a political statement – it is a patriotic one.

This didn’t happen by accident – it was the result of a great public outcry by thousands of Americans just like you that prompted the network to review and revise their advertising policy.  I want to thank the hundreds of thousands who viewed the ads online, signed our petition, and let it be known that NBC's refusal would not go unchallenged.  Currently more than 150,000 people have viewed at least one of the ads on YouTube alone – making these ads some of the most watched videos posted by a non-profit group this week on the popular site.  It is because of your voice that our ads thanking the troops will be seen by millions more Americans on leading television networks – including those owned by NBC.

Great Job. But i still would like to see NBC support the troops without outside ads but come from NBC.

What harm could ever come out of wishing Brave Warriors Happy Holidays? Far from family and friends? Home?
You can hate Politicians, Politics, Laws, on and on..
A great man said " Hate the War , not the Warrior". Put aside all the nonsense for one minute, would you do the job any of them are doing? Then just say " God Bless, Happy Holidays, and Godspeed".

You should be ashamed of yourself for exploiting our troops to get your message out. You act as though conservatives have the monopoly on patriotism. The strong arm tactics used against NBC are nothing short of the sort of thing one might expect from Jesse Jackson. Go ahead and spread your voice, but don't exploit the people who are protecting your right to do so.
