Freedom’s Watch jumped on to the scene just a few months ago to be a credible, sustainable and well-funded voice for conservative like-minded individuals. We decided that we needed to create an organization that would be run like a business, but managed as a never-ending campaign. Over the past few months, I have been amazed by the outpouring of support and the continued success of our ongoing efforts at Freedom’s Watch. This organization was founded as a steadfast voice for mainstream conservative policies in America – a voice which had been missing in Washington for far too long.
Our nation has desperately been looking for a credible voice to emerge in the political process to defeat the radical left-wing agenda and restore our nation’s priorities. As we are involved in a global struggle against terrorism and a real threat of radical Islamic jihadists exists, our nation’s security needs to be the top priority of our leaders. Yet just this summer, anti-war and radical liberal groups were going to mobilize together to destroy the credibility of our nation’s top military commanders in Iraq before they appeared before Congress. These groups hoped to place so much political pressure on our elected officials that they would have their minds made up before even listening to General Petreaus and Ambassador Crocker. We could not sit by and allow the political process to continue to be hijacked and decided that it was time for Freedom’s Watch to act.
We quickly mobilized the resources and launched a $15 million grassroots campaign to urge Congress to give victory in Iraq a chance in mid-August leading up to the testimonies of General Petreaus and Ambassador Crocker. Partnering with a host of veterans and pro-victory organizations, we worked hard to deliver a message that had not been given enough consideration. We sought to offer a platform for the voice of those who have sacrificed so much in this struggle. The opinions of our nation’s heroes like Vickie Strong, John Kriesel, Laura Youngblood, Andrew Robinson and John Wroblewski had been almost ignored in the debate. With the help of hundreds of thousands of empowered Americans, we were able to deliver the message to Congress and the debate has shifted.
Radical liberal groups like Moveon.org showed their true colors by launching outrageous attacks on General Petraeus and our troops, and attempting to discredit elected officials who were talking about the real progress they saw on the ground in Iraq. We came to the defense of Congressman Baird in Washington with television ads after Moveon.org attacked him for expressing his real opinion about the progress. We condemned Moveon.org for the despicable attack on General Petreaus and exposed the reduced rate given to them for the full-page ad by the NY Times. While the radical liberal groups sought to corrupt the political process and shift the debate, we were able to join together with hundreds of thousands of Americans and give our elected officials the resolve and courage to do the right thing.
On September 11th, we purchased a full-page print ad in the New York Times, Washington Post and the USA Today to remind Americans that “we are fighting a global war against terrorism” and that “victory is America’s only choice.” You also may have seen the full-page print ad we paid for in the NY Times denouncing Columbia University for inviting and allowing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak while refusing to allow the ROTC on their campus. Freedom’s Watch believes Ahmadinejad should be treated for what he is – a terrorist who supports the extinction of the United States and Israel.
Just this week, as members of Congress continue to deliberately delay funding for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, we launched a new print ad campaign asking congress to stop playing politics and fund our troops. They featured an open letter to Speaker Pelosi and members of Congress highlighting the progress our troops are making from Andrew Robinson, who served courageously in the U.S. Marine Corps and was on his second tour of duty when he was wounded by an IED in June of 2006.The full-page ads ran in seven papers across the country: The Arizona Republic, The Sacramento Bee, The Palm Beach Post, Evansville Courier & Press, Topeka Capital-Journal, The Columbus Dispatch, The [Scranton] Times-Tribune.
In addition to supporting our efforts in Iraq and our global war on terror, we plan to be very engaged in many other serious issues that affect our nation. To keep America strong and prosperous, we plan to be on the frontlines fighting for conservative principles. We believe in the principles of limited government, low taxes, less regulation, free enterprise, and more personal responsibility. We will promote and advance solutions to public policy problems that empower individuals and are based on free market principles, not government command and control. Freedom’s Watch will also support the rights of every worker and opposes attempts by Big Labor to enact its left-wing, big government political agenda. Freedom’s Watch also opposes the legalization of illicit drugs. We believe a sound drug policy must be both tough and humane, and based on three proven strategies – enforcement, prevention, and treatment. To read more about our issues, please click here.
While we were able to make a significant impact up till now, our efforts have just begun and we still have a long way to go. That is why I am so pleased to present the new Web site for Freedom’s Watch. This site provides a central hub for those who are interested to learn more about our organization, and the means to support these efforts through volunteer activities and secure online donations. I hope that you’ll sign up today to receive periodic updates about our efforts, and check back at freedomswatch.org often to stay up-to-date on the latest activities.
Thank you for all your support,
Bradley A. Blakeman

In rebuttal to the comments of Mr. "Pat Henry" How does anyone even begin to respond to such intellectual bankruptcy?
As for the "abysmal care" our "wounded vets" receive... nothing prevents Congress from correcting the problems Veterans are having with the VA. Because of the structure of our Federal Republic's government, The Administration (the Executive branch) actually has almost no leeway in correcting such problems (problems largely exasperated further by Fed. employee unions).
As usual, Congress only complains about all of the 'problems' (problems that 'it' created) with government Departments, Agencies, and Programs... that 'it' actually controls via the 'constitutional power' of authoring and passing Legislation, particularly in regards to the Appropriation/allocation of funds.
Of course a person like Mr. Henry, apparently, doesn't even understand the basics of our Nation's 'division of powers' Constitutional form of Government. This is why such people don't understand that if you can't muster the votes in Congress to 'de-authorize' a congressionally authorized WAR... all other attempts at ending such a war politically are Acts of sedition and collaboration - also known as: Treason.
As for the rest of Mr. Henry's comment - at best, he is what 'conservatives' call a "Kool-Aid drinker" - at worst, he is a Jew-hating Racist. I'd have to say he is indeed a Racist... with all the irrational and vulgar passion of a NAZI party or Ku Klux Klan member.
Please leave 'his' comment up, these 'people' should be allowed to continuously reveal themselves to the "entire world" - so all can see them for what they truly are!

My Son joined the military right after 9/11. As he serves his 4th deployment in Afghanistan, I am proud of his service and I am proud of our military and the job they are doing! No attacks since 9/11, is not a mere coincidence! Our Brave Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are interrupting and derailing the terrorists at their every turn. Our Soldiers have put a stop to the torture chambers and the sadistic and brutal atrocities committed by these terrorist thugs. Sadaam and Hitler were sadistic thugs and I am very proud to say it was the United States who took the bull by the horn and rid the world of both of them! Our Soldiers are Shepherds of Peace and we need to acknowledge that fact. My father and his generation stopped the thugs in WWII and my Son and his generation are doing everything they can to stop the thugs in Iraq and Afghanistan. If Nancy Pelosi and her entourage can't see that, maybe it is time to impeach them! Let's get them out of the way so we can destroy these brutish thugs once and for all and bring our troops home in victory. A wounded Marine was asked if we should pull out and come home from Iraq and this is what he said: "Americans need to realize that the terrorists are emboldened by the audacity of the way we live our lives and they will not stop until they destroy our way of life."
Right after 9/11, everyone hailed our Soldiers as Heroes for voluntarily stepping up to the plate to "go after the people that did that to us." I'm tired of people and their Monday morning quarterbacking about the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. If you think that the people in Iraq are not happy that drilling holes into people's heads is not the norm over there anymore, I suggest you get your head examined. Our Soldiers are Shepherds of Peace.
Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day? Our Soldiers are doing a heck of a job making sure that we dont' have another day that stops turning over here. God Bless Them, they are Heroes, everyone of them, and it's time for people to thank them, honor them, revere them, and get out in the streets and STICK UP FOR THEM!
To Nancy Pelosi, Harry, Chuck and Dick, you are not Generals, you are politicians and it is clear that all you know how to do is play politics! I say to you, stop playing politics with my Son's life! Fund the troops, fund the mission, and forget about telling the enemy the very day we are leaving. Are you trying to get our Soldiers killed? How insane can you be to tell the enemy when you are leaving. I really think it is time we suit up you Nancy, Harry, Chuck and Dick, and send you over to Iraq with all your grand ideas about how to run a war. I'm tired of you stting in the comfort of your grand Washington offices dictating to our Generals when the war will end. You are a danger to all of us!

Uh huh. The administration is taking great care of the vets (from KDKA):
One of them is Jordan Fox, a young soldier from the South Hills.
He finds solace in the hundreds of boxes he loads onto a truck in Carnegie. In each box is a care package that will be sent to a man or woman serving in Iraq. It was in his name Operation Pittsburgh Pride was started.
Fox was seriously injured when a roadside bomb blew up his vehicle. He was knocked unconscious. His back was injured and lost all vision in his right eye.
A few months later Fox was sent home. His injuries prohibited him from fulfilling three months of his commitment. A few days ago, he received a letter from the military demanding nearly $3,000 of his signing bonus back.
"I tried to do my best and serve my country. I was unfortunately hurt in the process. Now they're telling me they want their money back," he explained.
If this doesn't outrage you....

Why the bashing of Pat Henry? I see nothing anti-semitic in his statements, just criticism of the actions of a foreign nation and support and care about our troops in Iraq.
If this site is to mean anything we must have a credible discourse on thoughts and ideas and not succumb to claiming anti-semitism or communist etc when we disagree.
I think from the post Pat Henry loves his country, the U.S.A. and wants it's interest put first.
I personally think that Israel and the Palestinians should solve their own problems and we should fully mind our own business. Remember what the founding Father George Washington said about foreign entanglements????

I agree we have problems in Washington but let's not limit it to President Bush and the Republican Party. Greed and corruption is the rule of the day in DC or we would already have closed and secure borders. The answer to all these problems is more involvement by individuals in government at all levels. We have to sacrifice some of our time and get involved. We need to go to their meetings and monitor them closer. When they see we are watching closely things will change but we must speak up and become involved.

Below is my first post on Freedoms Watch .Org: I thought it was important to post it again in discovering what some feel is a waist by our troops in Iraq. My unit was mobilized in 2003 in support of this Operation and no distinction was made between Afghanistan and Iraq in the war on terror by the military. The intelligence at that time supported by Congress and the Administration were NOT divided! The only lies told were a spin created by the liberal media and later the Democratic Party in attacking President Bush a couple years after the attack on our Country! I know, I was there and made it a point to remember... This political mentality is so selfish by the Dem’s (in my opinion) that they would endanger our entire national security just so they can maintain power in our Government. If you remember this is the main reason why Sen. Joe Lieberman had to move to become an independent.
I hope that the American people will recognize the need to support our troops in the field. Again the liberal media has created that old anti-war establishment bias, which existed in the 60’s to elect the liberal Democrats to power. This war on terror is too important to national security to turn into another flower power agenda for the liberal Democrats. To combat this mentality, is why I served in the Army for over twenty years.

The other day I saw a You Tube video of Barack Obama speaking about his plans for our Military. It was the most frightening thing I have ever seen. Please see for yourself. The link is http://youtube.com/watch?v=dl32Y7wDVDs . The American people must see this before November.
Please help get this out! I have been sending this out to friends and media. I hope you all will pick this up and keep it going till it gets where it needs to go (Major Media). If we don't get the truth out this man will be President.

All you nice bloggers here's a comment. The Internet is full of the dumbest blogs, 99% of them liberal. It is often hard to get a conservative blog to post, for some funny reason (ha!). Be patient and learn how to get past their (?censors?). Repeating messages, sending them in small pieces, always checking to see if your blogs posted. Stuff like that. Take heart. A lot of these sites only want brief blogs, consider your impact. When you're mad at their dumbness your usually less effective. So cool your jets, as Mr. Buckley taught us. Nothing makes them madder than well reasoned arguement by a conservative. And a person with heart has a lot of clout.

I just revisited your website late yesterday (Fri. Nov. 16) after having first learned of its' existence on talk radio a few months ago, sometime in early September if I'm not mistaken. I spent quite some time over the course of this past year sending messages, largely via e-mail forms, to US Senators (as well as Speaker Pelosi) - letting them 'have it' so to speak - in regards to their treasonous and disgusting "lose the war, lose it now" agenda.
As it stands now, the Radical Fascist-Left movement that has 'bought' completely the leaders of today's Democrat Party - seems intent still on pursuing their 'apparent goal' of ushering in Extreme-Socialism on the heels of a 'lost?' war. Of course this 'plan' of theirs, like all their plans, is based solely on truly outrageous propaganda... rather then on any facts.
I can only speak for myself of course but the few Conservative positions, on certain issues, which I do not agree with are totally irrelevant... when weighed against the disaster resulting from a complete Democrat Party takeover of our Federal Government. Some of the speeches delivered by politicians like Hillary Clinton and, that carbon-credit con-artist, Al Gore have sounded far more like Adolf Hitler's tirades then anything President Bush has ever uttered.
Whether they be committed-Communists or just opportunistic intellectually-bankrupt Idiots... they're all truly 'scary' people to me. As an American who is 'rich' in knowledge and wisdom but poor in economic resources... I can only offer support as a voter (and occasional blogger, blog commenter). I wish your organization the best of luck in pursuing our mutual goals. But without the "deep pockets" support of some conservative 'version' of George Soros... you've quite an uphill battle to wage.
All of us do owe something towards this battle though, if for nothing else then for the sake of our 'best' citizens fighting for us over 'there' in the belly of the beast.

"All of us do owe something towards this battle though, if for nothing else then for the sake of our 'best' citizens fighting for us over 'there' in the belly of the beast."
i agree. And we can start by giving our wounded vets more than the abysmal care we have been foisting on them to date. There's too many horror stories popping up about vets being denied care or having to jump thru too many hoops to get proper care.
Next, we can be sure that we don't have more wounded vets coming back from Iraq by getting the hell out of that country.
We invaded Iraq based on lies, more lies and damned lies. The reason(s) we're in Iraq keep changing from week to week, but the bottom line is that it is an illegal and immoral war, fought by American Kids to keep Israel dominant in the region. Let Israel fight her own wars, we don't need to shed more American blood for that nation.
And we damned sure don't need to bomb Iran, another Israeli fantasy war that will see even more American kids coming home wounded, either physically or mentally or dead.
Iran is NO threat to the U.S. Israel thinks it might be a threat, so it wants the US military to bomb Iran to hell and gone.
Sorry, but we've been down that road with Iraq and it doesn't work.
Israel likes to say it's a peaceful nation. The only peace Israel wants is: a "piece" of Jordan; a "piece" of Syria; a "piece" of Lebanon; a "piece" of Egypt; a "piece" of Iraq; a "piece" of Saudi Arabia and whatever "pieces" are left after Israel finishes it's genocidal extermination of the Palestinians.
NEVER AGAIN!!!
NO MORE AMERICAN BLOOD FOR ISRAEL.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

Mr. Henry,
I am a 100% disabled veteran wounded in combat, May of 2005. While I appreciate your concern for benefits of our country's wounded, I do not appreciate the spin that you are putting on your claims. I would very much like to know your personal experiences with the system as it would lend more credit to claims that are being made.
I will also state the the system is not perfect. Like any healthcare program, there are flaws. I would also state, however, that no wounded veteran is left without some basis of care. In the D.C. metropolitan area, all a wounded veteran needs to do is travel to Walter Reed or Bethesda Naval.
Now, if you are arguing that the care is not quick enough or that the wait is often long (as in, the wait the day of the appointment), then I could then agree with your points. This is due mainly to the large veteran population that is not necessarily a result from Operation Iraqi Freedom. There are thousands of veterans of all ages from all wars spanning back to WWII that attend these facilities.
I often here complaints about veteran's claims with the VA. Complaints about how it is taking upwards to 18 months to receive compensation pay. Many would like to believe that the veteran is being neglected, and while I will agree the system needs to be reworked, you should know that every penny due to them since the day the submitted their claim is paid in full. If I submitted my claim 18 months ago, I will receive payment for ALL 18 of those months.
Please stop your disinformation campaign and listen to those who have an acute relationship with it. No one is saying it is perfect, but you need to stop painting the wrong picture.

Freedom's Watch is exactly what the conserative movement needs - a voice to unify us and provide a narrative that is realistic and truthful.
Too often, the media is dominated by doom and gloom. I'm proud of the men and women bravely fighting overseas to protect our freedoms.
Rather than hide behind our computers, we should take the lead of Freedom's Watch and thank our troops during this holiday season. Shame on all of us who enjoy time with our families and don't thank those who make that freedom possible.

What irony, Patric Henry was calling upon the countyr to take up arms for our embrionic country. It is people like "Pat Henry" who have made me seriously consider changing my registration to Republican. As a decorated veteran and an American Jew, I strongly resent the hate and skewed message he sends out.
We have to realize that the Democratic Party is being wagged by it's tail, the Looney Left. Among these paragons ovf virtue are the Communists, their "Revisionists", the Socialists and a substantial number of religious "do-gooders", who simplistically ask us to cut and run...again, with absolutely no concern for the far reaching consiquences.
As a humanist, I support most of the Democrat domestic agenda, however, I am a Leiberman Democrat. I believe that the best defense is an offence. If we do not stand up to the Jihadists in Iraq, then I must ask: If not there, where, if not us, who, and if not now, when?

"Freedom’s Watch jumped on to the scene just a few months ago to be a credible, sustainable and well-funded voice for conservative like-minded individuals"
No, no. Conservatives don't nation build. The war(welfare program) in Iraq has nothing to do with conservative values.
"Over the past few months, I have been amazed by the outpouring of support and the continued success of our ongoing efforts at Freedom’s Watch."
The 4 posts on your blog are a testament to your astonishing success.
" We could not sit by and allow the political process to continue to be hijacked and decided that it was time for Freedom’s Watch to act."
The process wasn't being hijacked , you tool. Moveon.org was exercising its first amendment rights just like you are doing here.
"We quickly mobilized the resources and launched a $15 million grassroots campaign"
LOL, grassroots. You are funded by a handful of war profiteers.
