This morning the New York Post ran an editorial describing the flood of Iraqi refugees returning home to a safer Iraq after fleeing earlier violence. The situation on the ground has improved so much that Retired General Scales, former head of the Army War College, writes that we could be nearing a “culminating point”, a moment when the advantage shifts and the outcome becomes irreversible. In this week's Weekly Standard, Noemie Emery pens an article regarding the liberal efforts over the past year regarding Iraq. “...from attacking a plan that had not been effective to attacking one that hadn't been tried yet, to attacking one that exceeded all expectations, while in the process ignoring reality, slandering a commanding general, and denying American forces in battle due credit for what they had done.”

Every day, reports out of Iraq show new evidence that the surge, orchestrated by Gen. Petraeus, is working. An article today in the Washington Post reports on more signs of success in Iraq:
“Rear Adm. Gregory Smith said Sunday that violence in parts of Iraq had fallen to it’s lowest levels since summer 2005… Iraqi civilian casualties are down 60 percent since June, and they have dropped 75 percent in Baghdad.”

Freedom’s Watch jumped on to the scene just a few months ago to be a credible, sustainable and well-funded voice for conservative like-minded individuals. We decided that we needed to create an organization that would be run like a business, but managed as a never-ending campaign. Over the past few months, I have been amazed by the outpouring of support and the continued success of our ongoing efforts at Freedom’s Watch. This organization was founded as a steadfast voice for mainstream conservative policies in America – a voice which had been missing in Washington for far too long.
